Turkcell Technology Summit was conducted last Thursday with the attendance of Apple co-founder Stephen Gary Wozniak as well as more than 50 spokespeople. The main topics of the event, which was in Istanbul Halic Congress Center, was the latest progress in technology and the opportunities for differentiation in business with technology.
The event was started by Turkcell CEO Süreyya Ciliv’s keynote. Ciliv gave information about recent situation within Turkcell as well as the general situation of Turkey technology market. He asserted that they had been trying to make their customers’ business and private life easier. According to him, the companies adapted to cloud computing, mobile apps and other innovations get ahead in competition. And, Turkcell is ready to serve required support and environment for companies eager to change for new world. Ciliv insisted that it’s the time of Turkey.
After Ciliv, one of the most interesting of the guest, Stephen Gary Wozniak, took to the stage. He started his keynote with a compliment to Turkcell. He told that he had just connected to internet via his mobile and he has seen that Turkcell’s 3G network was much faster than 4G networks in US. In his speech, he talked about his interest in technology in his childhood, how he had established Apple with Steve Jobs, the importance of technology in our lives in the future.
After Wozniak, there were parallel sessions about different topics from Cloud Computing and Mobile Marketing to Entrepreneurship to Sectoral Solutions in different halls located in the congress center. In addition to that, in showroom area, all product, service and solutions of Turkcell along with its partners and suppliers were represented to the participants.
