Superonline, a company giving service to customers in telephony and internet access, has conducted its operation under Turkcell group since 2005. It took a lot of interest from customers because it was one of the first companies that offered fiber internet access option to the customers. Besides this, Superonline has a relatively large fiberoptic network coverage. In fact, the financial results of Turkcell for Q1 2011 has shown the contribution of Superonline to the revenues of Turkcell Group increasing.
It is a surprise for many people that Turkcell had given its name to Superonline. From now on, Superonline will operate under Turkcell Superonline name. I suppose, Turkcell thought that its own name might give a boost to Superonline’s performance. Furthermore, this lets Turkcell become a key player in long distance telephony and internet access business.
With rebranding, Turkcell Superonline has offered a new fiber internet connection option to the customers. Customers will get 1000 Mbps fiber internet access by paying 999 TRY per month. It sounds really fast, but to offer this option under fair usage terms is a bit thought provoking.
