We were always thinking when we would start to see Tegra 2 Android tablets in Turkey. While we have been looking at global players like Samsung and LG, local manufacturers in Turkey had tried hard to design their own Android tablets. We saw a prototype from Vestel, but at this time, what Exper has done was all different and surprising.

Exper’s Android tablet Easypad is ready for prime-time. This tablet has NVIDIA’s popular Tegra 2 platform inside. It will run Android 2.2, however, we are expecting it will take Android 3.0 Honeycomb when it is available. Exper EasyPad features a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with 1024 x 600 resolution. Furthermore, you will find WiFi, Bluetooth, 1 x HDMI, 1 x USB, microSD card slot, webcam, microphone and a battery which boasts 7.5 hours of runtime.

Exper Easypad Android tablet will make its debut on February 11th in Turkey. It will be going on sale in Migros stores starting from 599 TRY (378$). Compared to Apple iPad, it is much cheaper than that, and I think it will see a significant interest around here.
